Memphis native Cristina McCarter saw a need to bring food tourism to Memphis and launched City Tasting Tours in fall of 2016 as a way for Memphians and visitors to immerse themselves in our local food scene. City Tasting Tours is guided by McCarter who highlights Downtown Memphis history while stopping in participating restaurants for foodies to sample menus and connect with local chefs. City Tasting Tours is an integral part of Dining Out For Life (DOFL) Week.
Feast & Graze is co-owned by McCarter and business partner Tiffany Iriana-Hofscher. They are known for their amazing charcuterie which can be customized for a party of two or two thousand. They began sponsoring FFL events in 2019 including Art Dash and our Big Gay Dance Parties, thoroughly impressing guests with their show-stopping edible centerpieces. “Our goal is to make your gather as stress and worry feel as possible!” Mission accomplished!
While dining rooms in Memphis have had to close (for now), McCarter continues to keep the spirit of sharing our hidden gems of Memphis alive by transitioning to virtual food tours. Memphians can now enjoy a City Tasting Tour from the comfort of their own home with exclusive video clips to complete each unique experience. Virtual tours can be booked here and will include appearances from Dining Out For Life partners, Rizzo’s and Grecian Gourmet.
