This month, The Corner and The Haven have joined forces to shed light on October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Listen to our newest employee and The Haven's Prevention Manager, Krista Wright Thayer, discuss important information on how to support those who may be affected by domestic violence. Additionally, we share local resources provided by our community partners.
If you or someone you know has been/is being affected by domestic violence, we encourage you to call one of our community partners. Their phone lines and websites are open and they are prepared to help those in need.

Finally, listen to our CEO Diane Duke as she recaps some of the organization's milestones this past month.
We recently launched our Lyft Up Your Vote campaign to provide all of our clients safe and accessible transportation to their polling site.
We are still accepting donations for this campaign. Twenty dollars guarantees that one of our immunocompromised clients has a ride to and from the polls during COVID times.
We believe that all of our clients deserve to exercise their right to vote. Your donations help us support them. So, thank you! Click here to watch our campaign kickoff video!
Midsouth Pride was last month and we had a BLAST partaking in Midsouth Pride's Pride-on-Wheels Caravan. We want to thank Midsouth Pride for putting on such a fun and safe pride event and for all the work they do throughout our community.
Also, Diane announces our newest re-addition to the FFL family! John Michael Alderson is returning to fill the role of VP of Development and Community Engagement this November!
Hear John Michael introduce himself and discuss the news himself! We are excited about his return and can't wait to start planning new events during these unprecedented times. 😁
Let us know what you're excited about! We want to hear from you. ❤️
Sincerely,
Your Friends
